# Switching Between Public Mode and Private Mode

### **Switching Between Public Mode and Private Mode**

ZKX Wallet allows users to easily switch between **Public Mode** and **Private Mode** at any time directly from the main wallet interface.

To change modes:

1. Open the ZKX Wallet main interface.
2. Locate the mode toggle button in the top-right corner of the wallet.
3. Click the button to switch between:
   * **Public Mode** - Standard on-chain transactions with full blockchain transparency.
   * **Private Mode** - Privacy-enhanced transactions powered by Railgun technology.

Once selected, the wallet interface and available actions will adjust according to the chosen mode.

#### **When to Use Each Mode**

**Public Mode**

* Best for standard blockchain activity
* Ideal for regular dApp interactions and transparent transactions
* Similar to traditional crypto wallet behavior

**Private Mode**

* Designed for enhanced transaction privacy
* Helps reduce wallet traceability on-chain
* Suitable for users who want greater separation between wallet activity and public blockchain visibility

Users can switch between modes at any time depending on their preferred level of privacy and transaction transparency.
