Unshielding Tokens

Unshield converts private Railgun balances back into public tokens.

If the wallet is in Public Mode when you open Unshield, it automatically switches to Private Mode and shows a banner instructing you to let the private wallet finish loading balances before unshielding. Once balances are loaded, the Unshield flow mirrors the Shield flow — recipient, route, send/receive amounts, and One last check — but in the reverse direction.

Important Notes

• Wait for the private balance to finish loading before starting an unshield — attempting to unshield from a partially synced balance can be confusing or show incomplete amounts.

• As with shielding, double-check the recipient address before confirming; unshield transactions cannot be reversed.
